From the report by Penny Wilson in 2012:
This area consisted of a series of dunes covered in vegetation. There was a good spread of pottery and pieces of stone on the highest mounds. The pottery was most likely to be Late Roman and Islamic period in date, including some glazed wares and jugs made of marl clay with impressed decoration. A fragment of a red granite column lay to the west of the pottery covered mounds and the plants seemed to demarcate possible structures lying underneath the surface. |
